Château Croizet Bages was created in the 18th century, when the Croizet brothers built up a wine estate from plots they bought. For a time, Croizet Bages changed its name to Calvé-Croizet in Bages before reverting to its original name.
Thus it was under the name Croizet Bages that it was classified in 1855. Since the early 1940s, the Quié family has invested in this Château de Pauillac, which it has owned ever since. The family also owns Château Rauzan-Gassies and Château Bel Orme Tronquoy-De-Lalande, in the Margaux and Haut-Médoc AOCs respectively.
