This is a 0 ha 94 parcel planted in 1904. Characterized by great amplitude, the sometimes somewhat austere power of this wine is tempered by very ripe, fine and racy tannins.
His corpulence moves on the palate with great harmony and fullness, like the elegance and purity of a Romanesque vault. With its purple velvet color, it is the archetypal beautiful Pinot Noir.
The wine's aromas are full-bodied and full-bodied.
Its aromas are marked by black fruits (ripe cherries, plums, blackcurrants,...) and by a spicy side (pepper, licorice, cloves, nutmeg...).
Candied notes develop with age, associated with the complexity of tertiary notes a little bloody.
This wine pairs very well with sweet/savory pairings (roasted meats, berry meats, red chutney..., grilled meats in tenderloin, entrecote, prime rib...morel sauces).
Although it has excellent aging potential, it is often possible to enjoy it in its youth when the accomplished tannins and structure have the melting that makes the balance of great wines.
Maturation: in barrels (40% new)
In her desire to practice viticulture that respects people, plants and terroir, Anne Gros has taken a keen interest in biodynamic viticulture. A culture she considers vital for preserving the terroir's biodiversity, while refusing to be categorized or "labeled".
