The 2013 Domaine Serene 'Grace Vineyard' Pinot Noir spent 15 months in 53% new French oak. This striking Pinot Noir offers a wonderful elegant personality, starting with an aromatic profile , red cherries, black truffles, forest floor and Umami. There are beautiful flavors of black cherries, wild blackberries, red currants, Shitake mushroom and cinnamon accents. Having an exceedingly long finish, the elegance and black fruit flavors continue to shine through. Although this is already quite impressive, I expect this will further benefit from another year or two in bottle.
This gorgeous wine is brimming with ripe black cherry, black raspberry, dried blueberry, mocha, sl. bay leaf, allspice, vanilla and pipe tobacco. The palate is impeccably balanced, showing lovely blackberry, dark cherry, tobacco, violet, sage, dark spices and supple tannins.
