In 2002, Benoît, who had just graduated from the Beaune viticultural school, realized his dream: to create this wine estate in the southern Ardèche, where he was certain that the terroir had great potential: its scorching sun and cool nights, its wild landscapes, its limestone soils that smell of garrigue, humus and truffles...!

Benoît and his wife Florence practice organic and biodynamic viticulture, preserving the environment and allowing the terroir to express itself. They are constantly on the lookout for ever more vibrant soils in the vineyard, and ever purer wines in the cellar.

Cros des Calades might be new on our carefully chosen list in one way. But the couple at the helm of this project are more than familiar to us here at Divine Wines. Created by Florence and Benoît of Château de la Selve, with whom we've been working for some time now, this is a new négociant project that we're delighted to welcome on board. Although these are not their own grapes, the origins are only a few kilometers from their estate in the southern Rhône Valley. And of course, the philosophy is always present - respect for terroir, organic farming and minimal intervention in the cellar - to seek purity and freshness in their wines.
