Gilles Berlioz is a happy self-taught winegrower; a landscape gardener by training, he started out in 1990 with 0.8 ha in the Chignin area. After farming up to 7 ha conventionally, he reduced the area to 3.5 ha and decided to plough with a horse. His next logical step was to switch to organic and then biodynamic farming (in 2006).
