Vouvray

Vouvray wines, made from the Chenin grape variety, can be vinified as "sparkling", "dry", "soft" or "sweet" wines depending on the amount of natural sugars harvested. Whether still or sparkling, one of the characteristics of Vouvray wine is its golden color and brightness, which visually distinguishes it from other wines produced in the Loire Valley.

The development of the vineyard is attributed to Saint-Martin who established the famous abbey of Marmoutier.
