Introducing the **Champagne Marie Lancelot 2019** from Maison Lancelot-Pienne, a distinguished Grand Cru Champagne that embodies the essence of Cramant's terroir. Crafted exclusively from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from eight select plots in Cramant, this cuvée showcases the meticulous artistry of winemaker Gilles Lancelot. With an average vine age exceeding 50 years, the grapes are cultivated on soils rich in exposed chalk, imparting a distinctive minerality and elegance to the wine.
**Tasting Notes**

The Champagne Marie Lancelot 2019 presents a pale golden hue with a fine, persistent effervescence. On the nose, it reveals a complex bouquet of chalky minerality, candied lemon, pastry, white florals, and almond. The palate is voluptuous and long, reflecting the purity of Cramant's terroir. The wine's freshness and minerality make it an ideal companion for seafood dishes, particularly fish-based appetizers, fried fish, Asian cuisine, and fish-based pasta or rice dishes.

**Winemaking Process**

The grapes undergo a slow pressing process, followed by fermentation in stainless steel and enamel-lined concrete tanks. They remain on their fine lees for 6 to 8 months, with malolactic fermentation completed on all wines. The Champagne is aged for at least 30 months en tirage, with a dosage between 7 and 8 grams per liter, depending on the year.

**About Maison Lancelot-Pienne**

Established over 120 years ago, Maison Lancelot-Pienne is a family-owned estate located in Cramant, Champagne. The estate spans 8.5 hectares of vines across more than 60 parcels in the Marne Valley and on the southern slopes of Epernay. Winemaker Gilles Lancelot, who took over the estate in 2005, is dedicated to sustainable viticulture practices, employing lutte raisonnée to minimize chemical treatments and preserve the environment.

**Serving Recommendations**

To fully appreciate the Champagne Marie Lancelot 2017, serve it chilled at a temperature between 10°C and 12°C. Its versatility makes it suitable for various occasions, from festive aperitifs to elegant dinners. The wine's complexity and depth will continue to evolve with time, offering a delightful experience for both immediate enjoyment and future cellaring.

**Conclusion**

The Champagne Marie Lancelot 2017 is a testament to the exceptional quality and craftsmanship of Maison Lancelot-Pienne.
