Why "Joanna"?
The cuvée takes its name from the historical figure Jeanne de Naples, known as Queen Jeanne, Queen of Naples and Countess of Provence, who in 1348 sold the city of Avignon to Pope Clement VI.
Bernard Duseigneur, representing the fifth generation at the estate, has teamed up with Philippe Faure-Brac, best sommelier in the world in 1992, to make terroir wines from 30 acres of vines between 50 and 130 years old, grown biodynamically since 2002.
Serve: at 17°C.
Wild boar stew, lamb filet with thyme.
