**CHIROUBLES - The Most Elegant Cru of Beaujolais**
Nestled at the highest elevation among Beaujolais crus, Chiroubles represents the epitome of finesse in this renowned region. This distinguished appellation, covering 360 hectares of granite-rich soils between 250-450 meters altitude, produces wines of remarkable elegance and aromatic complexity from 100% Gamay grapes.
**TASTING PROFILE**
Chiroubles displays a brilliant ruby color with violet reflections. The nose reveals an exquisite bouquet of fresh red berries—strawberry, raspberry, and cherry—complemented by delicate floral notes of violet and peony. Subtle spice undertones of white pepper and cinnamon add complexity. On the palate, these wines showcase exceptional finesse with silky tannins, bright acidity, and medium body. The fruit expression remains pure and vibrant, supported by mineral undertones from the granitic terroir. The finish is elegant and persistent, often revealing hints of rose petals and forest floor.
**FOOD PAIRING RECOMMENDATIONS**
Chiroubles' refined character pairs beautifully with delicate preparations: roasted poultry, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto, or mild goat cheeses. Its floral elegance complements herb-crusted lamb, while its fresh acidity enhances charcuterie and pâtés. Serve slightly chilled at 14-16°C to maximize its aromatic potential. Young vintages offer immediate pleasure, though premium examples can cellar gracefully for 5-8 years, developing tertiary complexity while maintaining their signature elegance.
